2022 Kennith Jurnigan First Time NFB National Convention Scholarship Winners

Hello, we are Kimberly and Jenifer. We are not only best friends, but sisters also. We attended our first in FB conference in 2022, which was held in the big easy New Orleans, Louisiana. at this conference, we were immersed in over 2500 blind and visually impaired individuals. That not only embrace the rich culture and heritage of the Crescent city, but of blindness also. This Conference was very uplifting and inspirational, and taught us that the possibilities are endless and blindness should not define you or hold you back as an individual. We learned that blindness should not be something to be scared of that with the right training and skills it should give you the drive and determination to live the life you want. most of all it gave our bond of sisters, one being sided, and one being blind. The strength and courage. To understand, each other. We are stronger together, and will never be broken…..
